The Mens Shed project at Hardie Park in Stanford le hope are hosting a Classic Car and Craft event to raise funds for their growing venture. The event will take place on Sunday 15th April between 10am and 4pm and consists of a classic car display, craft stalls, food, drink and family entertainment.

Head Shed Supervisor Alan Marks, who arranged the event said, ‘We are a group of like minded men who enjoy woodwork and creating things. The shed building is well underway but we could really do with a financial boost hence organising this family day. We will be demonstrating skills and chatting to anyone who wants to know more about the shed project. We would also like to hear from any car enthusiast who would like to show their classic car at the event, it’s free, you just need to book in advance.’

Fellow Supervisor and Membership Secretary Chris Reid said, ‘By showcasing the shed to local residents we hope to inspire new recruits who may be interested in joining us in the future. We meet on Friday mornings at 9.30am and welcome new members who would like to learn or bring new skills to share.’

To book a free pitch for your classic car you can contact Alan Marks on 07731 953050 or Vic Hillier on 07748 967331.  General entrance to the public is also free.
