Stanford-le-Hope is lucky to have a very successful Facebook group that has taken on a life of its own.
There are almost 5000 members and one of them commented how they would not be able to recognise someone in the flesh, who they may otherwise talk to regularly via the group. This led to a suggestion of a symbol that would help to identify members and this led to a badge!
It was then suggested that these be sold for charity and the proceeds go to Friends of Hardie Park & ROC Youth Cafe (another local community initiative)
So that’s what happened, we designed and had 250 badges made and we’ve nearly sold out!
