There are many people locally who will spend Christmas Day alone. There are some families for whom Christmas is a struggle.
Friends of Hardie Park want to change that.
Last year we held our first Community Christmas, A full blown Christmas Day dinner with free transport, gifts, fun and entertainment and 32 guests had an absolute whale of a time…and so did all of the volunteers.
This year, having already outgrown our own building we are teaming up with Fresh Hope Community of Victoria Road Chapel to host the meal again.
The response to our appeal for donations of both food, gifts and money was overwhelming and we are confident that the community will give generously once more. We feel a lot more organised this year with a bigger team of co-ordinators.

To refer a person as a guest; maybe you are a carer, or you know a family member, friend or neighbour who will be on their own, or maybe a family has hit hard times, simply complete a few details on the form here.
To make a donation of food, drinks, gifts or decorations, please visit this page which has lists of items needed and a form for you to complete.
